Dempster Guitar Studio (DGS) offers Private, Semi Private and Group instruction in a friendly and comfortable home-based studio dedicated to getting you playing the music you love. Whether you are just beginning to get the itch to play or have been playing or performing for some time, DGS will guide you toward playing your best and advancing your skills on guitar.DGS especially recognizes the challenge of the beginning student, of any age, making sure you develop the right skills for the right results. Doing it “right” now will ensure you continue to play well for as long as you want. You have probably heard the saying “ Practice makes Perfect”! DGS believes “Practice makes Permanent”. That is, how you practice is how you will play. You will soon discover that at DGS there is a lot of focus on how you will develop your playing skills while you are NOT in the studio- and you are NOT in the studio most of your time.
So, at DGS you’ll learn how to play well by learning how to practice well and then share your music confidently with your fans. This approach continues to be applied as students become more advanced-in fact it becomes really important for those who wish to specialize in a certain guitar style like rock, blues, jazz or classical.Music technology is a growing part of DGS. The studio maintains professional audio and MIDI equipment for your complete desktop music production- just in case you need to record that monster riff or hit song idea. DGS can help you develop your ideas into fully composed and orchestrated projects. Check out the “juke box” for some current tunes.
During your time with DGS, you’ll also discover lots of opportunities to get together with other students. Whether through casual jam sessions, the Guitar Café or “end of season” celebrations, you’re bound to find another student who is just as nuts about music as you are.
